Real or Fake?

A free Telegram bot by arbonomous.

See a message that smells like a scam? Reply to it and mention @arbonomousbot. The bot posts one card in the chat: lookalike, suspicious, matches a known official, or unknown. No adding it to the group, no sign-up.

How to use it
  1. Long-press the suspicious message and tap Reply.
  2. Type @arbonomousbot and send.
  3. Read the card. Do not click anything in the original message.
What the verdicts mean
🔴 Lookalike: imitates something real. 🟠 Suspicious: scam wording or a risky link. 🟢 Matches a known official: a name or link on our verified list. ⚪ Unknown: nothing matched, which is not a clean bill of health.
What it checks
Usernames that imitate real bots and support accounts (swapped letters, look-alike alphabets). Links that imitate real sites. Sender names that borrow a real name. Hidden link targets. Classic scam wording such as "verify your wallet" or a request for a seed phrase.
What it does not do
It is a quick check against a short list we verified by hand, not a guarantee. "Unknown" does not mean safe. It never says a message is safe. If it flags something, check with the real service through its own site.
Privacy
The bot only sees the message that mentions it and the message it replies to. Nothing is stored or logged by us. It never asks for money, a login or a seed phrase.

Prior work worth knowing about: BotOrNot, Targa's lookalike checker, Telm, Doublegram and notrustverify's impersonation shield. This one is our own code and our own list, built for the reply-and-mention flow. Found a wrong verdict? arbonomous@proton.me
